Cape Abilities Farm is one of two innovative social enterprises established by Cape Abilities⁠—a nonprofit providing jobs, homes, transportation, social and therapeutic services for people with disabilities across Cape Cod. 

Since 2006, Cape Abilities Farm has been providing individuals with training, employment, and opportunities to interact with the local community. The farm offers organic and local food, flowers, gifts, art and more, seasonal specialties and, most importantly, cultivates a diverse and inclusive community for people of all abilities. 

Shoreline Media was honored to be asked to help tell the story of the Farm’s 20th anniversary in the Cape Cod community. From the long time individuals who have found meaningful work opportunities to staff and volunteers that make this a beloved corner of Route 6A in Dennis and a must-stop venue for anyone who cares about “Giving Back” Cape Abilities Farm grows more than just tomatoes, they grow love, friendship and opportunity.

Our goal was to capture moments during their Pumpkin/Fall season, Christmas Tree season and Spring flower/tomato seeding season, and to reflect through interviews how this special enterprise enhances the lives of the people and farmers Cape Abilities serves.
